Cases of Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease in Ramsey County

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease is caused by a virus and is highly contagious and fatal in both pet rabbits and wild rabbits. Two cases were confirmed in Ramsey County in September 2021. MN SNAP is committed to keeping your rabbit as safe as possible while in our care. To decrease transmission of this disease, please keep your rabbit inside your home, and don’t expose your rabbit to new rabbits for 14 days prior to your appointment. Consult your veterinarian about having your rabbit receive the life-saving vaccination prior to spay/neuter at MN SNAP.
