Reflecting on What Inspires Us
As we approach the end of 2025 and my first full calendar year as the Executive Director of MN SNAP, I’m reflecting on what a joy it’s been to witness how this community shows up for the beloved cats and dogs of Minnesota.
When people ask what inspires me most about our work, I often pause—because there’s so much to choose from. I am moved by our skilled staff, extraordinary volunteers, and compassionate partner organizations across Minnesota that rely on and trust MN SNAP to provide accessible veterinary care.
But most of all, I think about the families we serve and the love our clients have for their pets. We see it in the hugs and sloppy kisses they exchange, in the whispered words of comfort, and in the relieved smiles that appear on pet owners’ faces when we settle their pets into their arms after surgery.
Moments like these remind us why this work matters so deeply. We are lucky to share our lives with amazing, furry companions. They give us so much, and they bring out the very best in us.
As we close out the year, I invite you to make a gift that celebrates and strengthens the goodness we see every day across Minnesota. Your generosity helps cats and dogs get the veterinary care they need and supports the people who love them.
Thanks to donors like you, MN SNAP has provided surgeries and vaccinations to 14,179 cats and dogs in 2025!
MN SNAP believes every cat and dog, no matter the finances of their families, deserve accessible, compassionate veterinary care, and it’s your support that makes that possible.
With gratitude,
Jodi Buckman
Executive Director
