- Due to the nature of our medical environment, volunteer positions are currently only open to individuals aged 18 and older.
- We request a minimum commitment of at least 6 months.
- Some volunteer roles require volunteers to stand for up to three hours.
Here is a list of the roles in which we currently have volunteer opportunities:
- Clinic volunteer role involves assisting the vet staff with cleaning and drying equipment, assembling surgery packs, and sometimes assisting with laundry. Volunteers may also help with taking dogs out and cleaning kennels if needed. This role has two shifts available, which can be combined into one more extended shift: 9 am-12 pm or 12 pm-4 pm Monday-Friday and some weekends. However, the days and frequency of volunteering are flexible.
- Check-in volunteer role is responsible for greeting clients, verifying details, and handing out pagers. This role spends some time outdoors and is standing; hours are 7:45 am to 10:00 am Monday-Friday and some weekends. However, the days and frequency of volunteering are flexible.
- Reminder Call volunteer: You will be critical in contacting our clients using a provided script. You can make these calls from the comfort of your home. Your commitment involves making these calls once a week, which will help ensure that our clients stay informed and are well-prepared for their appointments. We are looking for a volunteer to make calls for our Tuesday clinic.
- Client Services Volunteer, you will be crucial in supporting clients who contact us via our Google Voice phone service. Your primary responsibility will be to help clients by returning messages or forwarding them to the right staff member, ensuring that their questions or concerns are handled quickly and efficiently. The time commitment for this role is 6-10 hours per week. This is a remote – work-from-home position.
- Laundry Support volunteer, you are crucial in ensuring clean and sanitized towels and blankets for our organization. You would operate our washers and dryers. Fold laundry and keep an organized laundry room environment. We offer a flexible schedule. At this time we are looking for volunteers in the afternoon. Our greatest need is on Mondays.
