MN SNAP Appoints New Executive Director
Anna Kucera has been named executive director of Minnesota Spay Neuter Assistance Program (MN SNAP).
Kucera joins the organization from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Upper Midwest Chapter, where she served as marketing and public relations director.
“We are delighted to have Anna on our team,” said Richard C. Gage, chairman of the board, MN SNAP. “Her strong nonprofit background, track record in fundraising and passion for the human-animal bond are a good fit for MN SNAP as we embark on an aggressive fundraising and brand identity campaign.”
Kucera, who holds degrees in English and biology from the University of Minnesota, will be responsible for the overall leadership of MN SNAP. In her new role, Kucera will chart the course for MN SNAP’s future, which includes developing a long-range strategic plan, raising dollars and awareness, and advancing the mission of the organization.
“What MN SNAP has achieved toward improving animal welfare in the past five years is nothing short of extraordinary. I am honored to join this talented group of people,” said Kucera.
Kucera currently serves as board chair of Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa, where she has provided leadership since 2010. Her past experience includes work with Special Olympics Minnesota, Utne Reader and the Northern Lighthouse Board of Scotland.
