Keeping Up with MN SNAP – Spring Recap & Summer Plans
Like any busy school or family calendar in May, this past month was filled with activity for MN SNAP.
Our community showed up in big ways. Here are just a couple of highlights:
- We surpassed our spring fundraising goal. With a generous match and committed group of donors, we raised $45,000 to care for pets and community animals!
- We checked “spring cleaning” off our to-do list. With the help of a fantastic group of employees from Kose, our garage is sparkling and our landscaping is in full bloom.
Thank you to all of the donors and volunteers that support MN SNAP, not only in May, but year-round!

Springtime marks the continuation of the mobile clinic’s busy season and a full event schedule at MN SNAP.
We attended the Veterinary Career Fair at Dakota County Technical College in April, alongside rescue organizations, shelters, and other community partners, to support career exploration and networking for students in the veterinary field.
We joined the Park Pals & Paws event in May at Harriet Island in St. Paul, connecting with fellow animal lovers and spreading awareness of MN SNAP’s accessible spay and neuter services.
We put a lot of miles on our mobile clinic! The team has already traveled this year to care for cats and dogs in Chisolm, Madelia, Morten, Princeton, Red Wing, Rochester, and St. Cloud.
MN SNAP loves being out and about in the summer. If you are organizing a community event in the coming months, particularly those focused on helping Minnesota families access the resources and services they need, please email [email protected] to let us know!
MN SNAP has planned a short break to provide our doctors and staff rest, renewal, and time with family and friends. We will be closed June 27 through July 5, reopening for services on Monday, July 6.
Here’s to long summer days enjoyed with our families, and making new community connections this summer!
