Jodi Buckman
We’re looking for a Client Services Associate to join our mobile clinic team — someone who’s compassionate, detail-oriented and excited to make a difference in the lives of pets and their people.
Position Snapshot:
• Pay: $21–$23/hour (based on experience)
• Location: Minneapolis, MN and mobile travel across Minnesota
• Benefits: Health and Dental; Life and LTD insurance; generous paid time off policies including two annual clinic closures; condensed work weeks and more!
• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) with occasional overtime
Interview Process: Virtual interview via Zoom followed by on-site interview and job shadow.
What You’ll Do
As a Client Services Associate, you’ll be a key member of our mobile clinic team serving the Twin Cities metro area and greater Minnesota. Your responsibilities will include:
- • Checking in patients and supporting clients during drop-off and pick-up
• Handling and restraining animals
• Preparing post-operative medications and discharge instructions
• Creating sterilization and vaccination certificates
• Maintaining accurate medical and client records in clinic software
• Supervising and supporting volunteers on clinic days
• Providing backup driving coverage for our mobile surgery unit when needed. This requires a valid driver’s license and successful completion of a DOT physical exam.
• Representing MN SNAP’s mission with empathy and professionalism
Who You Are
You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You communicate clearly, stay organized under pressure, and find purpose in helping others. You will be working with dozens of dogs and cats each day, so you’re an animal lover who’s not afraid of a little kitty hair or puppy drool. You have some experience working with animals, are eager to learn, and are ready to hit the road as part of a dedicated team.
What You’ll Bring
• A love for pets — and for the people who care for them
• Animal handling skills and experience are required (shelter/rescue, grooming, boarding, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to stay organized
• A self-starter attitude with a willingness to learn
• Reliability, accountability, and flexibility in a team setting
Preferred but not required:
• Experience in veterinary medicine or animal care
• Comfort working in a mobile clinic or field-based setting
• Ability to operate and drive a mobile surgery unit/RV
Here are some additional requirements we are looking for:
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted and 100+ lbs. assisted, with prolonged periods of standing and walking and climbing up and down the mobile vehicle stairs alone or with an animal/carrier.
Emotional Demands:
Must be emotionally resilient and comfortable with the emotional aspects of veterinary work, including client communications and handling a variety of animals with diverse behavioral and medical needs.
Schedule and Attendance:
Required to be punctual for scheduled shifts during operational hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Attendance at regular team meetings and one-on-one meetings with direct leaders is necessary, and there may be a need to work at different sites or attend occasional off-site meetings and events.
Work Environment:
The environment can be dirty, wet, warm, and humid, with exposure to zoonotic diseases, pests such as fleas and ticks, unpleasant odors, chemicals, and noises, including barking. There is a possibility of being bitten or scratched, and exposure to extreme weather conditions such as cold, heat, rain, and snow when outside.
Compensation and Benefits
